Yonetomi Seni Co was founded in 1952 as a knitwear manufacturer in the city of Yamanobe, located in the southeastern part of Yamagata Prefecture, where it still operates today. "Yonetomi" is derived from "Yonezawaya Tomizo," a longstanding trading house name passed down through generations.
